This Privacy Policy explains what information ClinAds collects when you visit getclinads.com or book a call with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

Plain-English summary: We collect basic site analytics (page views, clicks, session recordings) and the contact info you give us when you book a call. We use that to improve the product and follow up with you. We don't sell your data. You can email us anytime to delete it.

1. Who we are

This website (getclinads.com) is operated by 18-17-12, Inc., a California corporation doing business as ClinAds and Clinsight ("ClinAds," "we," "us"). You can reach us at team@getclinads.com.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you book an intro call through our Cal.com booking widget, send us an email, or fill out a form on the site, we receive whatever information you choose to share, typically your name, email address, phone number, time zone, and any message you write.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our analytics run automatically and set first-party analytics cookies. We collect:

Page-view and behavioral data: pages visited, clicks, scroll depth, referring URL, time on page
Session recordings: we record visitor sessions — including mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and text typed into forms — to improve the site experience. Password fields are masked automatically.
Diagnostic data: browser console messages, JavaScript errors, page-performance timings, and network requests made by your browser on our site
Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, screen size, approximate location derived from IP address
Cookies and similar technologies: first-party analytics cookies, set on your first visit

3. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small set of third-party processors to operate the site. Each has its own privacy policy that applies to the data they handle on our behalf.

Cloudflare: website hosting and CDN
PostHog: product analytics and session recordings, US cloud
Cal.com: appointment scheduling for intro calls
Google: Search Console (no end-user data), Google Workspace for email correspondence
Google Fonts: web font delivery

4. How we use your information

To operate, maintain, and improve the website and product
To respond to your inquiries and schedule intro calls
To send follow-up communications about ClinAds after a call you booked with us
To understand how visitors use the site and prioritize what to build next
To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers for cross-site behavioral advertising.

5. Cookies

We set first-party analytics cookies when you visit the site, and use them to measure how the site is used and to record sessions as described in section 2.2. We don't use them for cross-site advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or email us to opt out, though some site features may not work as expected.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services described in this policy or as required by law. Site analytics and session recordings are retained for up to 12 months by default and may be deleted earlier on request. Contact information from intro-call bookings is retained for up to 24 months after our last interaction.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access: request a copy of the information we hold about you
Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete data
Deletion: ask us to delete your information, subject to legal exceptions
Restriction or objection: limit or object to certain processing of your information
Portability: receive your information in a portable format
Withdraw consent: for any processing based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email team@getclinads.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We'll respond within 30 days.

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

Residents of the European Economic Area and the UK have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For GDPR purposes, the legal bases on which we process personal data are: (a) consent, (b) contract performance for users who book intro calls, and (c) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the product.

8. International data transfers

ClinAds is based in California, USA. If you're located outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email team@getclinads.com and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Significant changes will be communicated through a notice on the site.
